A wet/dry floor washer is useful because it applies cleaning solution and collects dirty liquid during the same pass. The BISSELL CrossWave Pet 2328 uses a clean tank and a separate recovery tank. This helps explain the process, but it does not make the machine suitable for every floor or replace its user guide.
Check the floor first
Identify the flooring and confirm that it is sealed and approved for wet cleaning. Loose edges, damaged seams, unfinished wood and moisture-sensitive materials need a different approach. Check both the floor maker’s instructions and the machine manual. An area rug setting does not turn a floor washer into a deep carpet-extraction service.
Prepare before switching on
Pick up large debris and objects that could block the head. Inspect the roller, tank seals and cord. Fill the clean tank using the machine’s marked quantities and approved formula. Random household sprays, bleach or a highly foaming detergent do not belong in the tank. Route the cord so it does not create a trip hazard.

Work in manageable passes
- Start away from the exit and plan a clear path back.
- Move steadily rather than flooding one spot.
- Keep the head moving and follow the model’s trigger instructions.
- Watch the recovery tank and stop when it needs emptying.
- Let the surface dry before normal traffic resumes.
Maintenance is part of the job
After use, follow the manual’s cleaning procedure for the recovery tank, roller and other removable parts. Remove collected debris, rinse the permitted components and let them dry as directed. A dirty tank or damp roller left in storage can undermine the next clean. Unplug the corded machine before maintenance.

What the equipment cannot promise
The result depends on the floor, residue and access. A floor washer removes ordinary surface soil; it does not repair scratches, lifted boards or worn sealant. In a service quote, discuss the actual flooring and condition rather than assuming a particular machine is always the correct choice.
